West Forsyth at Gainesville

Last Friday, I went to City Park to shoot a game between West Forsyth High School and Gainesville High School.

I love shooting at City Park. The lights are SO bright, I didn’t even think about pulling out my strobe. It was heaven. According to my editor, city park has the best, and brightest lights in the state. I don’t know about that, but they were awesome. It’s too bad we couldn’t just shoot there all season….

12th annual Petit Le Mans

So I know the actual race was Saturday, but I was so whooped from walking around the track at Road Atlanta that I had to take break from the posts and just chill out Sunday.

For those of you who were not outside Saturday, it rained. A lot. It rained so hard the race had to be called at 8 hours and 44 minutes. I, being the prepared photog that I am, was prepared! I had a pair of rain boots and a rain suit, which consists of pants and a jacket. When I first arrived, it wasn’t really raining more like misting. Mist is just SO annoying. Just rain or don’t rain, but don’t mist.

I later realized that I probably should have foregone the rain suit because when I took the damn thing off, my shirt and jeans were completely soaked from all the moisture that had accumulated inside the suit. Whatever. All that matters is that my camera gear stayed dry and safe.

0927LeMansaDespite the rain and overcast weather, thousands of fan came out to Road Atlanta.
